How sugar hurts your smile

We need to eat, it is a primary need.

We need to eat, it is a primary need. But nowadays people have started eating irregularly and irresponsibly. One of the primary factors that contributed to this carving is sugar. Sugar can now be found into anything from sodas, chips, fast food, fish eggs to cheese and milk. You can now find sugar in almost anything you can buy at a supermarket that is not fruit or a vegetable. Recent studies have shown that sugar can create dependency and carvings more severe than cocaine. Food industries use sugar because it gives a good taste and it creates a dependency to the human brain, especially to children. Sugar is bad both for the mind and the body. It is the primary cause of obesity and diabetes. It is best to try to reduce the dose of sugar you eat each day, by reading the label of the products you buy and creating a personal diet. The only sugar that is good for the human body is the natural sugar you find in the fruits.

The first sign that shows the negative effects of sugar is the deterioration of your teeth. The teeth are small, calcified, whitish structure found in the human mouth. They have the function of mechanically breaking down the food you later swallow and digest. They are fixated in the jaw by a root which can have one or more root canals. During a lifetime the human will have two sets of teeth. The first one will change completely after 16 years. The problem is that although teeth seem indestructible they are not. They change their composition in direct relation to the wellbeing of the body. So if you suffer from a vitamin deficiency, it is possible to get cavities really fast. If you are in top shape, your teeth will be more resistant to external factors, like sugar. Teeth also have an enamel which is covering the external exterior, made from calcified tissue. This tissue is sensible to foods and drinks especially to sugar which is weakening the structure composition resulting to cavities.

You need to take care of your teeth and wash them regularly for at least two times a day. By doing this you prevent possible dental conditions that can be very harmful. The things is that cavities usually form in places that are not visible, like between your teeth. You need to wash your teeth really good for at least 3 minutes with a smooth brush. If there are any signs of bleeding rinse your mouth with water and then with mouthwash. It is indicated to use floss periodically and also massage your gums to stimulate the gum growth and avoid periodontitis. You should do periodic dental check-ups with a dentist or orthodontist to make sure your teeth are in top condition. This way you can keep your smile as beautiful as it was intended to be.
