Why Should I Get Professional Teeth Whitening Treatments?

Many patients wonder why in-office teeth whitening is a better choice than using over-the-counter whitening products. Professional treatments use medical-grade bleaching agents and are performed in a controlled environment. This allows us to accomplish a much brighter, whiter result while doing no harm to your teeth or gums.

Advantages of professional whitening:

  • Visibly brightens several shades in a single session

  • Removes tooth stains effectively

  • Protects the teeth as well as whitens

  • Safest type of tooth bleaching option

  • Reduces risk of gum and tooth sensitivity

  • Pain-free way to dramatically improve your smile

  • Results typically last longer than over-the-counter treatments

Types of In-Office Teeth Whitening Treatments

Custom Tray Teeth Whitening:
One visit with at-home treatments

Impressions of your teeth and gum line are taken to create custom trays. These trays are filled onto your teeth with bleaching gel to whiten your smile immediately in this one office session. Additional gradual whitening happens with a set of trays that you take home and wear overnight or for a few weeks depending on the desired results.

Zoom Teeth Whitening:
100% done in-office

This one-time in office procedure created by Phillips is completely painless. A cheek retractor is inserted into the mouth and we create a rubber dam around the gums to protect them from the bleaching gel. Bleaching gel that contains a high concentration of hydrogen peroxide is applied to the teeth and a light is set over the treated area to activate the bleaching compounds. You will notice your teeth are several shades whiter after a single session!
